Membership Website Script- Here’s How The Pros Profit

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

One of the best ways to establish an online income that can grow and prosper is to sell information to people who are hungry to buy. People that surf the Internet are looking for answers to their problems, and the marketer who has the right membership site content can sell that information and keep their customers coming back for more.

Why is this technique so popular with successful online marketers? The simple answer is recurring income. You establish yourself as an expert in a given area, and then as you get traffic to your site or blog, you begin offering ‘premium’ content. This type of content can be in the form of text, videos, software, or anything else you can imagine.

Some membership scripts use PHP file protection – they integrate their security with the web page code. These types of scripts are great for blogs and other sites that use PHP on the server. (PHP is a programming language used to create rich web pages). The problem with these types of scripts is that non-PHP files like videos and software are harder to protect from prying eyes.

Blogs are the best platform for this type of marketing strategy – through the use of software modules called plug-ins, blogs can be programmed to offer many features. Using a membership website script plug-in with a WordPress blog is a great way to create an attractive website easily, while at the same time handling all of the technical details of running the membership site.

Did you ever try to find a lost friend on the Internet?

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Have you ever tried to find a lost friend on the Internet? I have it is not as easy as you might think. I had a good friend in junior high and I have fond memories of hanging out having fun with him. We would hang out listen to music talk just have a great time.

The other day I was thinking about my long-lost friend and I decided to try to find them on the Internet. It seems everyone nowadays uses the Internet so I figured it shouldn’t be difficult to locate him. I pulled up Google typed his name and get pages on pages of results. I checked out page after page but didn’t find any mention of my friend just a lot of people with similar names.

I decided try to narrow my search a bit by including the town and state where we grew up. Unfortunately they were still too many pages to look through for it to be practical to find my lost friend. I decided Google just gave to many results so I would try using a less popular search engine like MSN.

I typed in my friends name and the city and state where we grew up and sure enough I did get a lot fewer results. Instead of hundreds of pages there are only eight. I started looking through those pages of results and I found a couple which I thought would surely lead me to find my lost friend. However, after an hour of searching I still came up empty.

Then I decided to try Yahoo. Since Yahoo search has been around longer than Google or MSN I thought I might have better luck there. Again I entered my friends name the city and state and this time I got about 30 pages of results. I started the arduous task of looking through each and every page and clicking on link after link. Now I was getting frustrated I spent all this time and still cannot find my lost friend.

I pretty much gave up on finding my friend until a couple months later when I discovered reunion.com. I decided to give the site a try and I was amazed at how quickly I was able to turn up results for my lost friend. The service was not free but considering the amount of time I have wasted trying to search in the regular search engines it was definitely worth the small price.

I was able to find a phone number for my friend and I gave them a call. He was very happy to hear from me. In fact, he had been searching for me also. We have a long phone conversation and it turns out that he lived close enough that we could meet for lunch. Although it was more difficult to locate my lost friend than I had imagined it was great to find him and I’m glad I put in the effort.

What is Assisted Living?

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

There comes a point in many of our lives when doing daily chores becomes too much to handle on our own. This doesn’t mean that we are unable to take care of ourselves; it simply means that daily living tasks are more then we can handle. There are a number of reasons people get to this point. It can be due to age or health condition. When an individual is still able to care for their self and they want to maintain a certain amount of independence, they turn to an assisted living facility.

Assisted living facilities are the bridge between living independently in your own residence and a nursing home. Many individuals in assisted living facilities are no longer capable of living on their own and they are not completely dependent either. Assisted living facilities are staffed with medical personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Typically there is a charge nurse for a certain amount of tenants and there are also medical assistants and/or nursing assistants. Tenant’s doctors also come and make their rounds, much as they would in a hospital or a nursing home.

The staff is there to make sure each tenant receives their medications as prescribed. They are also there to help with tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, getting dressed/changing clothes, bathing and eating. The amount of care each person receives varies greatly and is determined on an individual basis. The goal is really to help make sure that each tenant is getting all the care they need on a daily basis so that they are able to enjoy life.

It is important to note that in most cases the medical care that is given is not as intensive as it would be in a nursing home. There are times that residence of an assisted living care, when due to illness, surgery or injury may have to go to a nursing home until they are stable enough to return to the assisted living facility.

One should also note that assisted living facilities can go by different names depending on where they are located. Some common names are residential care, adult congregate living care, supported care, enhanced Care, and community based retirement facilities just to name a few.

Changes In Your Aging Dog

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Aging dogs are less adaptable to, and more adversely affected by, stress and change.  Yet so many dog owners do not take this into consideration when making plans involving their older dog. For example, for years you and your dog enjoyed those races through the woods or around the playground. You may still enjoy it now, but your older dog possibly finds it difficult to keep up with you. (Page 2, Types of Dogs)

What used to be lots of fun may now make him a bit grouchy and force him to breathe abnormally hard. You have just redecorated the house, and what used to be your dog’s favorite spot to relax in, is now occupied by a piece of furniture. Your dog becomes restless, temperamental, may even urinate or defecate in the house or right on that piece of furniture, and you cannot understand why.

It is not necessary to baby or spoil a dog just because he is aging. In fact, this should be carefully avoided, as it is a trap into which many dog owners readily fall. You should encourage your older dog to take part in family life as always, but you must be alert to avoid undue stresses or unnecessary changes. That piece of new furniture does not have to stand on the exact spot where he has snoozed for more than ten years. In his mind that spot is his personal territory. Even in his youth such a loss would have been upsetting, but he would soon find another acceptable location. The older dog finds it more difficult to adjust and can develop undesirable behavior as a result. (More detail on Dog Health Problems)

A dog is both a dependent and an independent animal in his relationship with you. In youth he will follow your every footstep even to the point of getting underfoot. His greatest joy is to be with you everywhere, and there are few times he wants to be by himself. As he gets older, however, this will often change, and he may seek solitude much more of the time. He loves you still but, depending on his physical state, he just prefers to be by himself. He will play with you and be your companion, but do not expect necessarily the same kind of response you got from him when he was a lot younger.

Take care not to “kill him with kindness” by offering what you consider tasty morsels of human food such as cake, ice cream, bacon, or liver pate. Such sudden changes in diet can produce serious stomach and intestinal upset, resulting in profuse vomiting or diarrhea. It may also encourage your dog to refuse his normal food and hold out for the “goodies” which in time can cause severe nutritional imbalance. (Source: Dog Health Questions)

Shopping For Your First Home Theater System

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

When shopping for a home theater system, those who are new to home theater want to buy everything in one box without giving thought to the individual components. While it is true that you can find some basic home theater systems in a box, you really should consider the complete package. Although you might like the price, you might grow weary of the performance after installation. There are some very high quality home theater systems in a box but their prices will be a bit higher as you might expect.

Generally speaking, when you are looking for a home theater system, your source unit should produce surround sound. This will give you what you want if you are looking for the same sound you get when you go to the movies. There are many of these packages out there, and they should not be that hard to find. You can go to almost any store that sells electronics to find this type of theater system for the home. They should have packages to fit most bugets, so shop around before you buy.

You’ll find speakers systems will just two or three speakers, but you really should look for those with five speakers. The first speaker is for voices and goes above your monitor or TV, and you should also have a bass speaker or subwoofer that should anywhere in the room. A five speaker system will be called a 5.1 system and a larger system including seven speakers is known as a 7.1 system. Most speaker systems have two front side speakers, and well as two satellite speakers which should be mounted in the rear, just above your head level. The smaller speakers that go in the back of the room are important parts of the surround sound system. They produce the background noises and voices that creates the surround sound illusion and enhances your listening experience from what you are normally used to hearing when watching a standard TV.

The standard boxed systems might serve you well for basic home theater enjoyment. But many home owners are adding special media rooms. When spending a substantial amount of money for a home theater, you really should pay close attention to the quality of speakers and components you select. Don’t forget the old saying: “you get what you pay for.” This is especially true in the field of home theater speakers. Today’s options include small satellite less then 6″ in size to full size tower speakers. While some satellite speakers perform very nicely, there are others that are better suited for PC use. Smart shoppers will want to satisfy their audio needs on their first purchase. Unfornately some home owners buy cheap speakers only to come back later to purchase better quality speakers.

Why spend a fortune on a retail hen house when you can build a cheap chicken coop instead? To be honest, a self-made premium coop with all the extras will come in at under half the price of a new one, and it will only take a day or 2 to build. This article gives you a general outline on the best home chicken coops.

The 3 Main Chicken Coop Options

Depending on how big your backyard or farm is, how many chickens you plan on keeping, and how much time and energy you want to invest in setting up your coop, there are 3 main options:

1) A small chicken coop that is designed to be moved around (1-3 chickens)

2) A medium, box-shaped coop that is more difficult to move around (4-9 chickens)

3) A large sized, premium chicken coop for large flocks (10+ chickens)

If you’re new to the idea of keeping chickens at home, but want to get a decent egg yield, I highly recommend starting with a medium coop that can be expanded later on, as your flock grows. I don’t recommend using a small, portable chicken coop as a permanent home for your birds, as it is generally unethical, and will reduce overall egg output.

Cheap Chicken Coop Materials

If you’ve got a good idea on how big you want your coop, it’s time to start collecting building materials. Standard materials include timber for the frame (pine, hardwood, or even unfinished logs can be used), mesh wire for a secure and ventilated coop, and a few other things. You honestly don’t need a lot.

The Facts On Car Insurance Fraud

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Insurance fraud is a common crime although the most popular kind of fraud that is committed is car insurance. This is because it used to be relatively easy to trick insurance companies with the damages to a vehicle. In a lot of instances the people committing the fraud will inflict more damages onto their car after an accident in order to claim more from insurance. Some people even arrange to have their motor vehicles stolen or hidden away to claim money from their insurance company to either purchase a new vehicle, or use the money for other reasons.

It is important that you protect yourself from these fraudsters by arming yourself with information. A lot of these people will cause a collision to happen on purpose. Unfortunately, you could be a victim, so it is best to prepare yourself in case of this happening. Firstly, you need to ensure that there is no one following you. Some of these fraudulent people will follow their next victim to observe their driving patterns. They will then find the opportune moment to cause an accident. Often, these people may brake suddenly in front of you, causing you to rear-end them. If you suspect that someone is following you, take down their registration number and report them to your local police station as soon as possible. Always maintain a safe following distance behind other drivers so that you will be able to stop safely should they brake suddenly.

Secondly, the best method of protection is to keep all your angles covered on the accident scene, should you have a collision. This is where it comes in very handy to keep a disposable camera in your vehicle. That way, you can take pictures of the damages to both vehicles, leaving no room for question with the claim process later on. It is a good idea to call your motor insurance representative to come onto the scene. They will take notes of details which will leave no room for error at a later stage.

It is frightening to think that you could be a victim of insurance fraud, especially if your safety and vehicle are at risk. Unfortunately some things cannot be helped and the best thing you can do is to arm yourself with information and precautionary measures.
